It's on Netflix now. I don't even want to watch because once I start I know it has to end.

Steph's out of town until Friday and we took a blood oath that we wouldn't start watching it until she's back.
While I haven't seen any plot spoilers, Will Leitch did tweet that the episodes appear to get progressively better as the season goes along. At least through the first four or five.

So I'm three episodes in. I laughed a lot more in the first two episodes than the reviews said I would. The third one, the Lindsey episode, not so much.

The first Tobias episode was really good.
Lindsey is completely unrecognizable. It's distracting.

The second Lindsey episode isn't even remotely funny. I"m confused by what I'm watching.

I thought it was a different actress at first. It looks like she's bulemic (and she was thin before). But maybe just plastic surgery? She looks terrible.

Thoughts so far? I just finished episode 9. The genius writing is still there, and the acting is still great, but...it's clearly suffering from actors not being with each other. It's an incredible ensemble that bounces well off each other. When it's just one of them in a scene....eh. I'm told episodes 10 through 15 are worth sitting through the first 9, so there's that.

Also, it's been noted, but the episodes are too long.

Totally agree. I'm 5 episodes and the actors have hardly interacted with each other. GOB and Maebe (probably my two favorite characters) have been almost entirely absent. I do see what they're trying to do. I'm starting to "get" the jokes that occurred in previous episodes. I'm sure I'll get more when I rewatch them. Still have the same basic reaction that I did when I heard the one-character-per-episode idea way back when: dvrffl.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=general&thread=1021&page=1#9688

So the Gob episode takes a.....weird turn.

On Episode 13 now. Starting to feel like it's really in its groove now. Had a few throwback "pause b/c you're laughing so hard" moments in the past few episodes.
