I can't think of a worse job than coaching the Cavs next year without Lebron. The team would suck, the city would be depressed, the arena would be empty. I'd need some record breaking income to go from a perennial final four team to...that.

Also, can we assume this offer was floated by Lebron's "team?"

I can't believe Kelvin Sampson is being considered. He makes Calipari look like Pops.

I gotta admit, the whole Wes, Chicago, Thibedeaux thing is kind of interesting.

A Cleveland Blog is reporting that Izzo informed a MSU player that he's taking the Cavs job. I'll wait until it's confirmed by a more connected reporter.

I didn't even realize Boozer was a free agent until you posted it. I put NY with zero thought. But thinking about it, OKC makes sense. I'll stick with NY because I think they lose out on all the big free agents, so they might make a hard push for Boozer. If he's smart though he goes to OKC.

I can't believe Cavs are talking to Mike Woodson. Mike Brown was a better option than him.

Yeah. It also bothers me that Izzo is taking so damn long. Not sure I want a coach who takes this long to decide....

Laimbeer is an interesting choice. My instinct is to mock a WNBA coach, but...he did win 3 titles with them or something. Obvious NBA experience. Could be a sneaky hire.

Not sure what to read into this. On the one hand he showed up. You'd think if he was leaning towards leaving he wouldn't even bother. On the other hand, he showed after almost everyone had left. sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5305470

Starting to hear all these Chris Paul/Bosh trade scenarios. I think it's patently ridiculous. Should we be so lucky that we get a Pau Gasol / Kevin Garnett type trade. It could happen, but there's no Kevin McHale and Chris Wallace to kick around anymore.
