I'm going with Breaking Bad vs The Wire in the final, with The Wire winning.
However, it's not quite fair to have Breaking Bad and Mad Men involved, since those shows are still going. A lot can change. I think both of those shows have the potential to be better than The Sopranos and The Wire.

Seems like "Six Feet Under" always gets short shrift in these things. That was the show that sort of introduced me to the high-thinking cable drama. And the last 15 minutes of the finale is the best 15 minutes in television history.

I work nights, so I'm already supposed to be in bed. But I cruised all the way through season one, now I'm starting season two.
I really need to go to bed.

i think it just gets better and better. I've said it before but I'll say it again, Season 4 is simply incredible.
Are you watching on Netflix streaming? I think they only have seasons 1-3.

Halfway through season three. Every episode has been better than the last...
until the fly episode.
