It was a great article until he played the race card at the end.
Whitlock was awful for ESPN. But since he left, he's turned out some quality stuff in KC.

Yeah. I'm not a fan of that, though at the same time, I, like Whitlock, find it interesting that, as he says "Bonds and Rodriguez have been portrayed as the worst teammates in the history of professional sports while Rogers Clemens’ and Mark McGwire’s teammate shortcomings were largely overlooked."
May be true, but probably didn't belong in this article.
Otherwise, spot on media watchdoggery.

Bonds and Rodriguez have been vilified as bad teammates not because they had attitudes, but because it's been demonstrably proven they cheated. Bonds was a first rate a**hole. Rodriguez has done plenty of douchey things to warrant it.
McGwire has been left out of the HOF, been declared persona non grata. Clemens is mocked continuously in articles, even non-baseball articles. Not even his charities will call him back.
I don't understand why people think the "white guys" have been given a pass. Bond and A-Rod have brought them on themselves with their behavior.
