in the pregame talk, the sideline reporter said that tony romo's strategy for the game was to keep smiling and have fun, or something to that effect.
side note - what the cowboys need is martyball

I knew that Dallas was in trouble when they brought TO onboard.

I wish we could go back to the warroom board and rehash all the Roy Williams talk. I bet there's some pretty damning stuff in there.

I loved the Roy Williams signing. What I didn't know was how bad of a receiver he is and how bad of an offensive coordinator Garrett is. Had I have known those two things, I would have been not as excited.

I also distinctly remember a lot of Jason Garrett-as-head-coach talk. I assume that his star has fallen somewhat?
for all the hubub though, they still had a winning season and will be a contender next year, like they always are.

JG is currently interviewing for the Lions. I hope he gets the job. I was excited initially, but it's clear that he had no clue what he was doing. On Simmons podcast yesterday Lombardi pointed out that as the game progressed, it was obvious he didn't know how to proceed.
Combine that with Ray Lewis' comments, and it's better he's gone. We need an experienced OC.

Wade Wilson is the QB coach. He needs to go as well. He was the architect behind Rex Grossman, now he's poisoning Romo.
I'm not going to make excuses for Romo, he played poorly and deserves the criticism. But I think the talent is obviously there, he just needs a really good QB coach.
Yesterday, Favre said one of the things he was pissed about was being called on the carpet by Mangini for his bad decisions. No one had held him accountable before, so that's how he played. The same thing can NOT happen to Romo. He needs disciplined coaching NOW before he becomes completely set in his ways.

funny you should mention, looks like Mangini is talking to the Browns.
and since we're careening off topic (not that you mind), how delicious is it that Favre is ending his career so ignominiously?

Well, it would be more delicious if we all knew there wasn't 6 months of "will he/won't he retire".

I second the motion for Coach Marty. Jerry needs to bring in a no non sense coach and then stay out of his way. On the other hand, as a longtime Vikings fan, I say keep Wade!!! keep Wade!! keep Wade!! keep Wade!!
