Although I don't think Brown did a good job, when Mo Williams is your second best player, blaming the coach might not be the best move. Ferry has to accept some responsibility here.

I'm usually rather slow to the "fire the coach!" campaigns. I think I'm the only Browns fan who felt they shouldn't have fired Romeo Crennel.
Similarly I don't think they should fire Mike Brown. He's helped make Lebron into one of the best defensive players. And you're right: the talent drop is precipitous.

It might be an oversimplification, but I think good coaching led them to a great record against bad-to-average teams and a lack of "proper players" led to their poor record against the elite teams (regular season and postseason). =
I really, really think the Cavs would have beaten the Lakers.
