Utah has Knick's 2010 first rounder unprotected?

I feel like that's really big news seeing as the Knicks didn't get any of the guys they wanted and are going to be pushing hard for the 2010 superstar class. The fact that it's unprotected must have the Jazz peeing themselves.

Do the Knicks know this? I mean, they just traded for Darko. Maybe they think they can tank and get a high pick.

This is a huge blow for them getting lebron. They don't have the cap room to build a team around him. Now they lose a huge draft pick.

I also agree that it's not entirely clear the Knicks know this otherwise they would not be attempting to bottom out this year, which is apparently what they're doing.
