Everyone's basically acting as if he is. The Vikings trainers are going to see him. The playbook is being rewritten for Favre. Is it just 100% assumed he will be a Viking? Or did he already sign on the dotted line and I missed it? It's quite possible that I've subconsciously blocked any Favre-related news from my brain.

I think we've all blocked it. As far as I know, he hasn't signed yet, it's just assumed.

I believe this dance will end in roughly six weeks, day one of Vikings camp, with #4 walking into Manakato, MN with all of his ESPN groupies. Maybe this will insure I'm able to catch a couple of the Vikings games on TV. Hey hey hey!!

I think TR has it fairly well pegged. I'm not really that happy that Favre can waltz into training camp and take the starting job.
Maybe I just need to look for schaudenfreude when he walks onto Lambeau wearing purple.

If the Vikes make the playoffs, all will be forgiven.

We got into the playoffs with Tarvaris Jackson at QB. Favre will have to get somewhat farther for it all to be forgiven.

Supposedly we have a decision by Friday. I intend to post on here at 5 PM Friday, with no decision announced.

I'm officially rooting for a career ending injury to Favre.
Yes, I said it.

Welcome to my world. The ideal situation was a sinkhole opening up in Lambeau field, during a game against the Bears.

Is it 5 PM Friday? Why hasn't he announced it yet?

Answer: NOT!!!!!!
Vikings fans cheer... and then realize that means Tavaris Jackson is their QB.

BTW, did Favre effectively spend the last 4 months screwing the Vikings 09-10 season, by letting them think that they didn't have to go get, say, Kurt Warner, or trade up for Mark Sanchez, etc.?

I was sad to read the headline on ESPN, "Favre Passes."
He was too young to die.

I'm happy that he's not our QB. I wish we'd dropped it in June. He needed a "take it or we're moving on" kind of ultimatum. Now we get to wonder if he jacked with our team chemistry before saying no.
