well, kobe's deal went through the police and prosecutors. i think he was even arrested. ben's is just a civil thing.

Yeah, I think there is a difference. She has not even filled a criminal complaint. It's not even that she filed and it was thrown out. She has never filed a criminal complaint. That seems fishy to me.
But, all that being said, if this were Kobe, it would be on ESPN.

Yeah I didn't realize it was only a civil suit. Maybe because the WWL hasn't achieved it's usual crack reporting.
It does seem a bit fishy.
