Well, Leinart has two national championships and a Heisman. Tebow has two rings and a heisman and may add more of each this year. It's hard to argue that Vince should be above them.
However....
Anyone that saw Vince play and lead the team should have no doubt about who was better. He reached that "Manning down by 4 in the 4th with 4 minutes remaining" level of dominance. You KNEW he would get a first down. You KNEW he would score here.
I understand why they picked Leinart, but Vince was obviously the better player.

Exactly. VY was a man among boys. Had he stayed another year, he'd have won 2. Not a doubt in my mind. I guess that's the problem - he left early. That's probably fair then.
His performance in the championship game was Bo Jackson-in-Tecmo-Bowl-esque.
