I think I was and still am the only Browns fan that thought Crennel and (particularly) Savage should have kept their jobs after last year's debacle, wherein they ended up going to their fourth QB by Week 17. (hey look! I also talk about the bass-ackwards hiring job of Mangini!) The Browns weren't as good as their 2007 record indicated, but they weren't as bad as their 2008 record indicated. But Lerner misunderstood, overreacted and (apparently) called for a total rebuild. They jettisoned their two best (only?) offensive playmakers, Winslow, Edwards, and the #5 overall pick for good measure, and have a sh-tload of 2010 draft picks (I think 11 at this point - no joke). Toss in a little QB-controversy in the preseason and don't bother to play either candidates in that 4th preseason game and you don't develop any offensive rhythm. That's how you get to 1-7. And actually, like 2007, they don't appear to be as good as even that record.

BTW, Lerner also owns a soccer team and they're REALLY GOOD and the fans absolutely love him, inspiring the following video.

I don't think anyone believes that.

Holmgren appears to be the frontrunner. It's not clear if he'll be the team president or GM. Or even coach.

What's the scuttlebutt on the planned protest of the Browns by fans this week for MNF? Still planned? Think it will be done by a lot of people, or be like most sports protests and not even make a blip?
I for one, cannot wait. This whole Cleveland situation is highly entertaining to me.

If there's empty seats next monday, it'll be after halftime.
