There's a pretty solid case now that venturing over to Europe for a year instead of the charade of college hoops might be the right call.

Maybe. So far none of the high schoolers who have gone to Europe have had good times. Jennings' stats sucked while he was there and he didn't get that much playing time. There's a kid over there now who is miserable ( rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/blog/the_dagger/post/Jeremy-Tyler-s-Israeli-experience-thus-far-a-fai?urn=ncaab,200966 ). I think you'll see most kids staying in America simply because of the playing time, be around friends and family and a more enjoyable experience. One could make a case Jennings is better prepared for the NBA because of his experience in Europe, but I really doubt high school players are that analytical. I think most will just look at stats and playing time and say "nah, I'll stay here for a year."

There is a rumor that Stern is trying to increase the age limit to 20 or something. If THAT happens, you may see a little influx of players to Europe.
Or some sort of professional And 1 tour type tour that is less playground ball oriented and more like "real" basketball. I think something like that could compete real well in college.
