such a shame for the pitcher.
and i feel a little bad for the ump. he's gonna be kickin himself (and rightly so) forever.
but 3 perfect games in one season? fuh-reaky!

Yeah sucks for the ump. I mean, he knew it was a perfect game, so you have to figure on the final batter every ump on the field has heightened awareness. Maybe that's what led to the mistake, I don't know. It was refreshing to hear the ump immediately admit fault though. That was nice.

The commish should but won't. Because then he would need to take away a number of Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, and Mark McGuire's HR's away...
It would suck, but they need Instant Replay in this case in Baseball. Not instant replay for balls and strikes...
