My stupid kids are sick when we have this random 55 degree day and the day off. Thanks a lot, random virus. So instead of going outside and running around before it goes back to frigging cold, I'm inside watching my lethargic offspring watch their 9th episode of Blues Clues.
So what better time to get a jump on next week's conference championship games. Or as I like to call it: do I really have to root for Braylon Edwards? Weekend (yes, yes I do - at least he decked one of LeBron's friends).

Oh yeah, picks.
Steelers over Jets - by a lot. Bears over Packers - by a little.

I hate to say it, but Ben might be turning into a good QB.

I hate to be a Cutler defender, but I agree with this: www.slate.com/id/2280442/entry/2282165/Basically, the narrative on Cutler was and has already been written. Him coming out of the game was just icing on the cake for some commentators. I'll take his word for it that he wasn't able to throw properly. I know it's counter-intuitive to the NFL creed, and certainly runs against the narrative being written about him, but he should be applauded if by coming out of the game he gave his team a better chance of winning. It's not about being a hero and being THE GUY, it's about giving your team the best chance of winning possible. And considering the Bears almost won, I find it hard to disagree with that.

I agree with Geoff. And let's all admit that the Bears just weren't very good.

I really wish they had won that game though (i guess not everything works out perfectly for steelers fans).

I sort of feel like the "nobody can know the extent of Cutler's injury, so we shouldn't comment" comments akin to the passive-aggressive "I have no reason to believe that Barrack Obama wasn't born in the US" comments put forth by southern politicians.
