Chip Brown says report isn't true and Texas is definitely going to PAC 10. This is crazy.

Spent some time on Baylor fans this morning, they're quickly going through the five stages of grief.
There's also a portion of them trying to convince themselves the SEC is going to invite them. It's sad to watch.

ESPN is reporting Boise St to MWC. Add in the leftover Big 12 teams and that could be an underrated football conference. Could even get the Big 12's BCS berth.

Nebraska officially joins Big 10. Chancellor is blaming every single school in the Big 12 except for Nebraska. Good riddance. No more overrated fan than a Nebraska fan. The whiniest bunch of losers known to man.

Now he's blaming Texas because Texas wouldn't assign the TV rights for their sports to the Big 12.

TCU was suppposed to be the 12th team in the Big 12. Baylor and the Lt Governor and other legislators bullied and forced their way in, dooming TCU to the MWC.
Revenge.

I'd also like to point out how awesome it would be if Mizzou ends up in Conference USA or something. They're the ones who started this and they were so arrogant and confident they were going to the Big 10. Now they could end up in some low rate conference. Just epic.

A&M is reportedly off to the SEC.
I think this is a big mistake. They do need to establish an identity outside of comparison to Texas. But they're not a historically good program. I don't think they'll improve recruiting much through this move, but they'll get an opportunity for the likes of LSU and Alabama to kick their heads in each week.
I will also bet that Texas follows through on their threat to not schedule A&M. We blackballed Arkansas in the same manner when they left the SWC. The A&M fan base is currently reveling in the fact that they thumbed their nose at Texas. I don't think they've fully put together how many of their traditions (Bonfire, the second verse of the war hymn, sawing varsity's horn's off, beating the hell outta tu, etc.) are going to suffer if they don't play Texas. Or what football will be like without the Horns. But they've been in Texas' shadow for such a long time it may ultimately do them good to get out of it.
This has thrown the PAC-10 expansion up in the air, as there are rumors that the Big XII may find a way to stabilize itself by raiding the Mountain West Conference. My hope is that we find a substitute for A&M (I'd think Utah is the winner here but I'd prefer TCU) and proceed with moving Texas, Tech, OU and OSU into the PAC-16.

Chip Brown is reporting Texas will committ today to a ten member Big 12. Just broke. Developments to follow.

I think Texas examined the situation and figured more money could be made by staying and forming their own network. Also, you gotta wonder how powerful the legislature was in all this.

If this is true, there will be no conference championship. NCAA says you must have 12 teams to do so. So we'll have a round robin like the Pac 10. That SUCKS.
