Rivals is reporting that the Pac 10 is going to offer Texas, A&M, OU, OSU, CU and TT. I imagine Neb and Mizzou to the Big 10. Everyone else to the mid majors!

Iowa State is in deep doo doo. The Cyclones will be in the Leftover Meatloaf Conference with K-State, Kansas, and who knows who else.

Where do you think Texas will end up?
From a purely football perspective I like them in the SEC with A&M, OU, and OSU. UT keeps their rivalries with the Aggies and Sooners, renews one with the Razerbacks, and starts one with our neighbors in the swamp, LSU Tigers. Plus you get games with Florida, Tennesse, Georgia, Alabama, and Auburn. Only games with USC and UCLA in the Pac 10 would get me excited.
The Big 10 makes the most sense from an academic perspective, but there are not any natural rivalries. And I would be surprised if A&M joined UT in this move. From what I have read a 16 team Big 10(?) would be divided up into 4 rotating pods. UT's pod if the Aggies joined would most likely be: Texas, Texas A&M, Iowa, and Northwestern. With a northern pod of Nebraska, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois. This doen't get me excited.

1. There are a lot of rumors about conference realignment. 2. Two months ago there was word that the Big Ten was going to offer spots to Nebraska, Missouri, Rutgers and Notre Dame. 3. Last week was the Big XII head honcho meeting. 4. On Thursday a reporter broke the story that the PAC-10 was going to invite Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Colorado. 5. Texas held a meeting Friday and said we don't want to leave, but if Nebraska/Mizzou go we need to take care of ourselves. Give us an answer in 10 days. 6. There were a crapload of meetings behind closed doors Friday night. 7. The PAC-10 supposedly authorized the invites during their meeting over the weekend. 8. 15 legislators in Texas want to take action to ensure Baylor goes along with the rest of the Texas Big XII teams.

Can the pro-Baylor politicians actually do anything? We can always boycott Arizona even MORE!
