I'm watching this Texas presser right now and Bill Powers is the most unimpressive "leader" I've ever heard. Yikes.

I take that back. Plonsky is now talking. She might be the biggest moron in the NCAA. Glad to have her. Word on the street is she'll replace Dodds. She'll lead Texas straight into irrelevance.
"Ten is a good number. I like ten."
Die.

And there it is. All about the Longhorn Network.

"ESPN has been very helpful." Therrrrrrrrrrrrre it is. This abortion of a conference was kept intact because ESPN didn't want to lose the markets.
Kill me now.

"We don't have a new deal"
Awesome. So now you divide by ten instead of twelve.
Look, I don't profit financially from Texas, so how much money they really make doesn't keep me up at night. But as a fan, there was an opportunity to go to an awesome new conference, which was turned down because ESPN stepped in and played them for fools. There's not even a new TV deal, just what they "think" they can get.

ABC/ESPN contract unchanged. The "extra" money is coming from the 2 that left. Fox- no deal but feel good.

"We good good vibes from our partners."
You negotiate based on vibes from Fox? Really??

We waited ten years for Nebraska to right the ship and be a power again, and when it looks like they finally do, we lose them.
This really sucks as a fan.

From the Beebe conference: Looks like Texas, OU and ATM get all the money from Colorado and Nebraska's exit fees.

I'm glad I'm not a season ticket holder. Horrible home games from both OOC and conference games. UCLA, Ole Miss aren't exactly draws.

I think there's only one BCS bid now, and that's the conference champ. Whoever loses Texas/OU weekend I don't think can get an at large bid. Especially if the newly expanded MWC gets an auto bid.

On the plus side, we have a pretty sweet basketball conference now. Assuming Baylor keeps up.

Rumor going around the local radio is TX/OU possibly being moved to end of season, to help propel winner. Can't imagine that happening, but I couldn't imagine a weaker Big "12" either.
